Strickland's Archery Adventures is about having fun learning to shoot and hunt with several types of bows, arrows and related equipment. Tim switched to a traditional style bow four years ago and this style of shooting put the fun back in archery for him. Although Shirley started hunting with traditional equipment originally she now hunts with a compound bow. On the show however, Tim will be instructing on several different ways to shoot multiple types of equipment and the teaching techniques will work for all styles of archery. Every episode will include a shooting and or hunting tip from Tim.
As strong supporters of NASP, National Archery in the Schools Program, Tim and Shirley will spotlight a NASP student each week. Students will be nominated by their teacher or coach who believes they qualify because archery has improved their life in some way. A winner will be drawn from the twelve spotlighted students on the season finale. The winner and their guardian will have an opportunity to go on an outdoor adventure with Tim that will be featured on the next season finale. Both Tim and Shirley believe that the NASP program is the best thing that has ever happened to archery with participation now in the millions.
Strickland's Archery Adventures will be hunting a variety of animals in an array of locations. The first season will feature hunts of various animals such as Black Bear, Elk, Red Stag, African plains game and Whitetails.
